Grateful Dyed
what kraft say about kool-aid hair dye

These are some sites which i kinda like, or sites about stuff i kinda like, or something.

What is a labor of love? Well, it has to be something like the annotated Grateful Dead lyrics. All the Dead songs, fully annotated, the works. It is supreme. And that's about it.

Consumer whore? Me too (not that you are, of course). Here's some badness to make us (me) reconsider our (my) evil spending ways... as if it'll help.

What are the coolest trousers on the planet? They must be the canvas pants from cactus climbing. If you have a pair you'll know what mean. If you don't have a pair and have seen them you'll want them and if not, well, i guess you think your life is okay but in reality? In reality you're missing out. As a note, just to keep it truly real, everybody who has seen me in my canvas pants has laughed at me and said that the ass is too baggy. Except for my mom. She says they're great. And so do i. And that used to be enough, but now there's more cause i got a mighty fine fleece hat from them too. So there.

Climbing. It's a pretty fine way to spend (waste) a day. Depends what you like, of course. Me, i like urban rock. Sandy is the man... helpful advice and reasonable prices. Yeah, there's cheaper out there, but here i get what i need.

There's what i need, what i want and what i got... just now i'm pretty satisfied on all three counts... you can see just how my climbing needs are met by checking out my home wall inventory... awesome.

Fun. And burton snowboards. Yeah, just cause i've got one and love it. What do i have? A beat up '98 rippey... the silver 56 mission control. No photos of it on the site yet, sadly. But i can tell you now that it looks good. Apart from the scratches and stuff from where i've wiped. Got the board, just need the skill. Way of the world, my friends.

You want what is mighty? Me too. Sometimes. And when i do, it's gotta have just the one gear. Yeah, snowboards don't have gears and neither does my bike. The surly 1x1 singleator got me into this state of mind... gonna keep me there too. Peace out.

Yeah, the singleator is cool, but one day i wanna do it for real... and i figure it'll be chris king who'll do it for me. Go check those fine hubs.

What sucks but you do it cause you just can't get enough? Lots of things, probably, but what i'm thinking of now is rowing. If you row then you want a good boat. And if you want a good boat then what you want is a carl douglas racing shell. Just a bonus note, i've met carl and he's a really nice guy with awesome ideas and a dog called beamish. You gotta keep the faith.

If you have kept the faith and rowing is your thing then you'll probably already know the site that i'm about to link to... that's right, it's rachael quarrell's new rowing information. All the info, updated daily. Yeah, you could learn a lot from a site like that... well, you perhaps could. Me, i learn nothing and am really slack about updating stuff. But it's not my fault. I'm Gen-X and have to be excused.

What to wear for all that activity? Dunno. For tough wearing bike shorts i'm a roach fan. Specially their plainary stuff. Plainary rules, my friends.

Warm, dry feet. Yeah, like you, i take them for granted till they're not what i have. Then i wish i'd splashed the cash on thorlo socks. Pricey, but precious. If your world is cold, thin your wallet, fatten your feet.

Enough with the clothing! Almost. Last, but by no means least (as mr shannon would say), are those kiwis at macpac. They make stuff that lasts. So they are. But one.

An end note that is outa date but still in touch... in touch with where this is all sorta from. Comics... but they're not just comics man, they're like graphical representations of the soul, dude. Or not. Depending. This used to be a link to delirium, what was a pretty awesome site devoted to delirium of the endless. Who is like a comic book character... but the site's gone now... and Grateful Dyed is still here? Truly, there is no justice...
